Our goal here is to formalize core concepts involving DAGs.

For this, consider a DAG denoted by \(G\) with nodes \((V_1,\dots,V_n)\). Descendants and parents of node \(V_i\) are denoted respectively by \(\text{Desc}_i\) and \(\text{Par}_i\).
